2015 Mustang EcoBoost Track Review

Out on the track, and that's really where this car belongs, the little EcoBoost is a stormer. There is almost no turbo lag; you just press the accelerator and the car launches forward. This thing has torque, and then it has more torque, which you don't expect, but then soon realize as you are launched into very illegal speeds quite rapidly.

The interior of the car is quite nice as well. It felt less claustrophobic than its big brother. I have no idea why, but it did. I didn’t feel as cramped as I did in the GT. This might come down to the Recaros in the GT being a bit too high up from the floor.
You know the recoras can be adjusted up and down pretty easily By clicking up or down on the lever

No one is buying your propaganda Jonathon. At the drag strip the S197 V6 wins versus the EB. I bet if you did a lap-to-lap comparison against a S197 Performance Pack V6, your EB would lose also or at best they would be tied.

And you contradict yourself in your story. How can you be launched "into very illegal speeds rapidly" when you're at the track??

I just got back from my Ford dealer where I took my '14 GT for a 10k mile service. I took a look at a few '15s and I talked to the guy who sold me my GT. He told me that the EB is "perfect" for winter driving, and getting around town, but for those who want performance driving experience the V8 is "the only way to go". I like this guys because he's always been honest. And what he says is till the truth.

The V8 (either he S197 or the S550) will destroy an EB car on a road course, or drag strip. Hands down.

While I agree the V8 will win it will be interesting to see what happens when the tuners work their magic.

That drop off at 5500 RPMs might just be fixed and then you'll see a whole new world.
