What are your opinions on buying the V6 or ecoboost? The output should be close to the same. I'm afraid the ecoboost motor is going to sound like a civic with a fart can.

They might be similar in peak output but the ecoboost will still best the v6. Plus torque will come on much earlier in the power band than the v6... thus making it a more fun car to drive both in numbers and the trusty butt dyno! LOL. I'll even bet that the ecoboost beats the v6 in the 1/4 by a half second.

That being said I personally don't plan on getting one cause I agree with you, I like the sound of a v8. I have a suspicion that I wouldn't be satisfied with the performance if I traded my GT500 for an ecoboost.
