I just have to hope they strengthened the IRS to handle it. Heard a burnout video yesterday where you could hear the wheels hopping a bit. I think it was hopping, either way, it didn't sound quite right!
Then again, my Steeda UCA cost about that (install not withstanding) and the wheelhop is only 50% gone....similar results reported by folks who just do the LCAs (at about the same cost)... So you might be underestimating the actual cost of fixing this in the S197.
Then again, we don't know what it will take to fix the hop on the S550. It could just be an alignment issue (not likely...but nobody knows yet).
Steeda lca's for $200 fixed it on my 06 GT. Hope to do the same soon with my 14. But anyway, not trying to be argumentative, just wishing with a clean slate they had with the IRS it would be a non-issue.
My '14 GT auto doesn't wheelhop at all. Never has, never will, and the suspension is 100% factory stock.
The S197's with a manual trans, on the other hand, wheelhop a lot. Nothing that an adjustable rear upper control arm can't fix, though. The S550 will take more to tame the hop and make reliable for repeated drag launches (i.e. the Ford Racing rear subframe upgrades shown recently).
Well...true.

I was looking at the IRS setup they have and... I'm not sure how you stiffen up the thing to prevent wheel hop and still have the IRS work well. It's a really weird looking setup, to me. Very complicated looking.
I'm sure it works on a road course real fine though...?
Does anyone have a picture of these subframe upgrade parts that Ford has made? Why aren't they on the car to begin with? Unless its a cost savings or weight savings, why wouldn't the car come that way from the factory?
