2015 instantly dates the S197, Ford nailed it.

Indeed, the similarities are there, obviously.
But notice the front lower bumper differences. The SN95 has a cleaner look, more like the rest of the car. Flowing. Works.
The headlamps of the '15 are stretched back, kind of like a person who's had just a tad too much plastic surgery. Also, they're cut to go upwards instead of downwards at the ends, which looks just a little odd. They should be straight-ish, or turn downwards. But that's a minor quibble, that's livable, overall.
It's the lower grill/bumper up front. Too busy. Too foward jutting. Too jowly.
Just... too much. Not clean.
I understand it's aerodynamics to get a few percentage points of MPG at cruise...
...but it's a Mustang. Give me a break. Clean it up.
Excepting that lower grill/bumper, there is nothing I don't like about '15 Mustangs. Not. One. Thing. Love the car, it's making me think about getting one... but Awesome wouldn't want a stablemate, really. She doesn't mind the motorcycle, but it'd be her or the 15.
I'm keepin' her. So there ya go.
Well... maybe the AL hood is also a problem for me, because histories of AL and Ford paint, but that's it, really.
/These are, of course, just my humble opinions on the matter, and if'n you all be likin' the busybody front as it is, then great! I'm glad you like it!

I still think the SN95 looked better. I see the similarities though.
I don't know what it was about the SN95, but it was my all time favorite Mustang body style. Late model S197 was second favorite.

Well, if you wanna get all *technical* about it...
I gotta tell ya, I was going down the freeway passing Champion Ford in Katy, and they have an Oxford White '15 on the lifted rotisserie..
It. Is. GORGEOUS, overall.

2015 is a nice looking car it's just not muscley enough for me, too smooth, too futuristic.
Not everyone shares the same taste in cars (shocking I know), when i think mustang I don't think soft curves, european looks and a quiet plushy ride... I'll just leave this right here.
R.I.P. "muscle mustang"

I like everything about the 15 Mustang except for the missing A and B pillars that were separate on the current S-197, but Im sure ill get used to it though

I was torn on the 2015.. Until I went to my dealership to get an oil change on my 2005 Mustang GT Vert and they had a few 15s for me to look at. Needless to say I left there in a Cab with a check for my 05 and a 15 on order.

I'm still on the fence about the 15. I've seen and sat in one at the auto show, and stopped and looked at a few at a dealer the other day. It just doesn't thrill me, like the outgoing gen does. For me, the worst part is the front end. Still looks a bit like a blowfish to me. Anxious to see the '16 GT350, tho. Also, ....still need to drive the new generation.
