TQ is for the launch and to get the car going for the 60' times yes.

Nonetheless, I have been road racing for 20 years and have never seen a competitive V-6 American car at a road race course.
You just may, yet, now that American car makers are finally coming out with truly state of the art V6s in its sport coupes. While the Camaro has an excellent motor, it also has 400lbs more lard to lug around. The Stang though, at a much trimmer 3400-3500 lbs may turn out to be a real performer, not just the secretary's special the current 4.0 mill is.

Why don't you build a V-6 race car? You will find it easy to beat 45 year old Mustangs.

The new ones may be a little more difficult.
