2011 powertrain to be revealed at L.A. Autoshow
I liked putting racing tires, racing brake pads, and big cooling ducts in my 1995 Cobra R and surprising guys that just wanted something that looked fast. With 700/850 front springs and 200/260 rear springs, and an engine that had 365 lbs. of torque, it can hold its own. And few people knew what it was.

Well of course you need the hose. I'd imagine that Agent47 or someone will come out with a lower-grille replacement that has even larger scoops for ducting.

ok guys, im BSin. im really a shoe sales man. Sorry to take up ur time I just wanted to help. no good deed goes unpunished.
thud . . . . . . . what a let down!
only thing coming out of LA show is the sound of crickets
Don't understand the reasoning Ford has in delaying the 5.0 announcement. It can't be based on a sales angle because they've already squashed 2010 V6 sales and V6 sales > V8 sales so go ahead and make the 5.0 announcement and squash 2010 V8 sales too, LOL
Isn't there a big Fiesta event @ LA tonight? Maybe they didn't want to overshadow it.
Plus maybe Ford wants to emphasize MPG @ LA with the 30 MPG 3.7 and the 40 MPG Fiesta.
Darn just about everybody who seemed to know some "inside" info pointed to the LA show as the debut. I guess there's a small chance Ford could do something during the time the show is open to the public.

Hope Mulally is reading my post tonight.....i do sound credible ...don't i ! Gotta go get my medication right now.
OK how weird is this: If Ford walks away from the LA show without announcing the 5.0 then what we're left with is a 2011 MY lineup of a V6 with 305HP and a V8 with 315HP as far as we know.
At least that's what the general public would know. Obviously people hanging on forums know the V8 will be getting a big HP bump but John Q public just knows what gets reported in press releases.
I would love to know the reasoning @ Ford for separating the V6 & V8 engine upgrade announcements.
hmmmmm .... LOL the GM devil
that just landed on my left shoulder told me ...... maybe late developing problems with durability/reliabilty testing? supplier problems that cropped up and threaten to prevent launch at model year start??

Looks like we gotta wait another month!
Oh, and about that salesperson having a copy of the order guide? I HIGHLY doubt he does! I looked again today and Ford has NOT released them to the dealers yet. The only 2011 vehicle order guide available as of Dec 3, is the Fiesta. Once I get it, I'll post it in both this forum and the 2010 Forum.
And you can leave deposits for cars, you just can't order them. I have one for a 5 liter, and will put it in the order bank Jan 18th! I can't wait for NAIAS!!!
