I think realistically we would only see either a restyled Boss, or a Mach 1 or Bullitt. Anything else is just dreaming. And I think if they had a Bullitt or Mach 1 they would essentially be rebadged and restyled bosses.

I'd like to see a Mach1 be a Boss with a premium interior and all the luxuries of a GT with some exterior styling tweaks.

Both the Windor and Cleveland 351's were actually 352 cubic inches....they have the same 4.00 bore and 3.50 stroke as the 352 FE engine that preceded them. Ford referred to these 2 engines as 351's to differentiate them from the 352, even though they had the identicle displacement.

Did we have a se in 2005 or 2010? I doubt Ford will have an se for the first year of the new model. Think about it we never get them early on don't they usually do this to boost sales midway through a model cycle. I think the svt version may be there I'm hoping for an Scott ecoboost car

My dealership said they are getting one of fifty Cobra Jet Mustangs some time this summer. They said a price tag of like 150k.

Had to jump into this thread as I'm interested in a 2014 Mach 1 model.
What I'd love to see is a Mach 1 model with the powertrain stuff of the Boss 302, 440 HP 5.0 V8 (maybe tuned for a little more torque), with Mach 1 graphics, Mach 1 interior bits, a possible functional shaker hood minus the adjustable suspension pieces and the front splitter. Keeping the exhaust would be cool as well but not needed or maybe an option to keep the cost down. Make the Brembo brake package an option as well to keep the base MSRP down to around $40 or 41K. I'd be in for a 5.8 liter NA Coyote V8 as well, but I think that would push the price to around $45K or so standard. I'd also like to see it offered with manual AND automatic (yes I know that is blasphemy for many, but the only track I see is the 1/8 and 1/4 mile and autos are models of consistency there) Maybe keep the 3.73 ratio for the manual but offer the 3.31 ratio for a Mach 1 automatic over the 3.15 in the auto GT. I'll be in the market in early 2014 when we will know what the 2015 Mustang is going to look like at that time but a cool Mach 1 with the right power and looks could get my purchase as well. I can't buy a new Pontiac anymore so here's your chance Ford. Love to see this Mach 1, with automatic please. I really don't like the Camaro and although the Challenger looks nice it is a pricey bloated heavy car.
Any chances? What do you all think. Be kind to a forum newb.

Firstly, I like your GTO. I was very tempted by its Vauxhall Monaro cousin when I was looking for my dream muscle car a few years back. A very underrated car, in my opinon.
Secondly, your idea for either a 302 or 351 Mach1 with the options you describe would certainly get my vote. Lets face it, it wouldn't take much to turn a 5.0 GT into a tasty Mach1 by using parts already on the shelves from the Boss.......all they need are some Mach1 specific graphics, maybe new trim on the seats/dash and some 19 or 20" Magnum 500 look-alike wheels.
Sadly, it's gone very quiet on the '14 SE
We need more rumours

Just from gauging this thread, I guess there is a chance we may know something around August. I'd love to have the choice between a '14 Mach 1 and a '15 GT when it comes time for me in early 2014. I was always a fan of the 2004 Mach 1. There was a nice blue one locally, always wanted to get lined up next to it, but it never happened. Not sure what happened to it, haven't seen it for many years now. I'll take my Mach 1 in a bright high impact color and automatic. It will hit my local 1/8 strip shortly thereafter.

I'm surprised Ford doesn't offer a dark green on their regular models. It's a beautiful color on that car. I can't imagine they'd have a hard time selling forest green Mustangs.
We know the GT500 is going to be a part of the next generation Mustang now, so the question I would guess is what will replace the Boss. I wonder whether it would be cost-efficient for them to create a one-time SE for the '14 MY. Besides, and this is no offense to anyone who was thinking this way, I'm not sure how it would be received if they created some new graphics/interior touches that said "Mach 1" instead of "Boss 302" while using 90% of the Boss' parts. Ford is free to do whatever they want to, of course, but it would feel a bit...shallow, maybe? Personally, if they create another Mach 1, I'd like to see it done with the next generation from the ground up. I know Ford is going to have a hard time selling the '14 Mustangs with all of the attention on '15 MY cars, so they may very well come out with a one-off for '14 that helps to promote sales. Who knows.
But that's just me.
