For me it's the 45 degree slope on the rear, and the extra amount of plastic at the bottom which most people refer to as the diaper. Seems to be too much of a contrast with the blunt front end.

random question... so... if the GT500 is expected to receive a S/C'd 5.8L ...my question is.. will the overall weight of the car go back up and make it more nose heavy like its iron block predecessor??

It's so subjective. It's like one dude being into fat chicks and another likes red heads.

Personally I hate it. But if they put a big enough motor and horsepower in the Shelby I'd be willing to live with it.

Don't count on that... It's defietly not plug and play, even if the shape is the same. I have HIDs (not by choice, they are the only option in Japan) and wanted to switch to Halogens... The power cabling is different, so you'd need to add relays, etc...

heres why I dont care for it- this angle especially shows how the bottom/pipes/bumper sticks out a mile from the decklid...just not a commom mustang look.

never seen a pic from any angle of a 05 that wasnt appealing... if youve got one, please share

That car has the FRPP exhaust which stick out a bit farther than stock.

Those pipes remind me of my 5.0 LX. I like that part.

To me, the front end of the 2005-09 V6 and GT's are too vertical and upright and looks awkward when viewed from several angles, especially head-on. You guys talk about the big, bulky rear end of the current Mustang; that's funny because that was exactly how I described the front end of my 2007 GT. In my opinion, that's why GT500 front end conversions were so popular for those models. Do I think my 2011's rear end is perfect? Heck no. I do think, though, that its front end is far more aggressive- and better-looking than the 2005-09 model's. The hips look better, too, in my opinion. The 2010-12's interior is FAR superior as well, in terms of design, materials, build quality, etc. In the end, I can look past my 2011's bulky rear end because of all its plusses when compared to my 2007 GT.

That said, I'm glad the rear end issues are being addressed on the 2013 Mustang if, for anything, to mark the end of the non-stop complaining (okay, guys, we get it already). While I think I prefer the front end of the current model, the 2010-12 GT500's front end doesn't look all that bad in person. It's all moot for me, though, as I plan on holding out to see what 2015 brings.

The order banks are only visible to dealers, and very few salesmen have access to the order banks (mgmt typically maintains the order banks).

It's more than likely they will... The 2013 seems to be a very superficial cosmetic restyling limited to different bumper covers, grille, lights and hood...

Anyone know anything about the rumored power bump? I was thinking the 2013 will just be visual with the 14 getting special anniversary wheels and paint, leaving the 2015 redesign to get direct injecion?

This will be my first and probably only new mustang so i am nervous about springing for the 2013 with the annversary 2014 one year and the 2015 redesign 1.5 to 2 years out.

Just depends how the design the 5.8. If its the same 5.4 aluminum block with larger cylinders, it shouldn't make a real weight difference. If they decide to use steel again, it will be heavier for sure. They should take the GM route and use the same block. The 4.8-6.(whatever) all use the same block with bigger bores pressed in them.
