Unless Ford is different... The problem I see with having the dealer fix this is they will recover the existing seat. That seat has air bags so there is no way they will just send out a replacement. They will send a new leather seat cushion covering. Which means a tech will pull the seat... Throw it on his not so clean work bench... Disassemble it. Then he will install a new leather covering which may or may not fit any better. Then reverse. Just my dealership experience. If all that is worth it to you... Go for it. I personally might push for a discount instead... Since the seat will likely look similar after a year or two regardless. Just my 2 cents... Take them for what it is worth...

My leather Recaros didn't look wrinkled like that - and after a year they still don't. I wouldn't accept that. PITA because you are stoked to pick up your brand new car. I know if I accepted that I would look at it every time I got in the car and it would **** me off. Talk to your salesman and see what he will do for you.

I agree with others. Talk to your salesperson and insist on getting the bottom seat cover replaced before you take delivery, getting it I writing in case they won't warranty it. Mine pictured below have no wrinkles.

So, as I sit here in Laguardia airport waiting to get home, my lovely wife has taken a trip to the dealership to snag a few pics if my fresh-off-the-truck car (awesome right?). I noticed that the passenger side bottom bolster is pretty wrinkled. Did anybody else's have this? That doesn't look like it'll flatten out to me but I haven't had a lot of leather vehicles.
Please speak to your Ford dealer and have them check it out. Then, PM me with your dealer, mileage, full name, and best daytime number so I can escalate this to the customer service manager for your area.

Wrinkles are a characteristic of leather, (cloth also wrinkles, stretches and gets dirty) depends on the size and weight of person or item placed in the seat. Someone one or something has been there more than once or, could it be a natural wrinkle in the skin? I agree it is bothersome in your brand new ride especially having paid big money for the option. Maybe the dealer would be willing to swap the entire seat out with another 'in stock' car seat? I know it would be hard to do but I would pursue it before delivery.

My car has under 5k on if and doesn't see sun for long. My recaros look like crap. An overweight ford service tech sat in my passenger seat and permanently creased the leather and my driver's lower seat bolsters are already trashed. My 60k mile s2000's leather still look great..

In my experience of owning several leather seated cars, the thinner the leather, the more susceptible it is to wrinkling. After 26,000 miles, my '07 red leather driver's seat was shamefully wrinkled, while the remainder of the seating looked brand new. That's why I'll never buy another car with leather seating. My Moms' '01 Grand Marquis has light grey leather and it's not wrinkled at all. But, it's much thicker than the leather in any Mustang I've ever owned.
