Some water is getting into the trunk.

Hi I have the 2012 Mustang GT. After it rains there will be a small amount of water build up in the left wheel well in the trunk. I saw in another thread a month ago that this is normal, but there's a way to seal this off. Anyone else experiencing some water build up in the trunk after it rains? Is this normal for our cars?

had that on my mustang after heavy rain. it's leaking in from behind the taillight. there is a square hole with some plastic clip in it or something. seal that up and problem is fixed. don't ask me to explain further this was 2 years ago and I don't remember exactly.

if you want to be sure, take out the mat and plastic cover from behind taillight and duplicate conditions with a hose. you will see the water trail. do both sides while you're at it.
