Passenger side mirror popped off

It's hanging after hitting the garage door. It doesn't snap back in. I don't see anything broken ..but there really isn't anything there would hold it in.
I don't know what's missing. Perhaps the clips broke off inside it?
I didn't get a good picture of it.

thats a horrible picture. but im guess you are talking about the whole mirror popped off. if so there are 3 bolts that hold it on. just pop the piece off on the inside of the door and youll see the bolts.

yes it's the whole mirror...i didn't see bolts. maybe they came off. i popped the inside piece but there is metal on the other side, not plastic..perhaps there is yet one more layer i need to pry off.

Here's pics and instructions for installing Agent 47 mirrors. Maybe this will help:

When the mirror is removed properly and not by a garage door, this is what you'd see:

If you don't have the bolts sticking out of the mirror then something is broken on the mirror side.

My car was delivered with a broken-off passenger side mirror, something that happened in transit, on a truck or train somewhere.

I installed the new mirror myself since it was as easy as popping off the plastic cover that covers the studs/nuts, removing 3 nuts, removing the leftover broken plastic mount from the old mirror, and installing the new mirror, installing the 3 nuts, then popping the cover back on

.

I think those bolts broke off. I guess if I can to the other side where they are inserted in I can put any screws in there and then use nuts on the mirror end? Or ya think I need a whole new mirror that comes with those pieces?

with wind and vibration that is associated with driving I would probably spring for a new bracket with bolts. I am sure you pulled the bolts out instead of snapping them off so the holes may be torn up.
