Passenger airbag off light

My wife called me this morning worried because the passenger airbag off light wouldnt turn off even if she turned the car off. She says it's still on.

I'm not sure what the deal is there, but I'll look at it tonight. In the meantime, are there any known issues with the passenger airbag off light?

Hey whokilledkaji,

I recommend you bring your vehicle in to your Ford dealer as soon as possible to have it diagnosed. Then if you need further assistance, you should contact Ford of Japan at +81 (0) 120 125 175 or me via PM.

I noticed mine does that if I have something in the passenger seat like a grocery bag. It may be a fail-safe to keep whatever object in the seat from becoming a projectile in case of an accident. If someone sits in the seat, it will chine until the seat belt is connected.

Might want to check the sensor if you have nothing in the seat.
