i have a slight gouge in my paint. are these new paints all water proof. or am i going to have a problem if its not fixed. Im afraid they may be still like the older water based paint with clear coat that when the coat gets damages the paint just washes out from under the clear coat and ruins it all

 

No, they won't wash out. So long as the gouge isn't down to bare metal it'll be fine.
