outside temperature sensor

I have a 2013 V6. It has a readout for the outside temperature. Unfortunately unlike my other fords, the temperature is extremely inaccurate. Ford had replaced the whole sending unit and it seems to be ok for a short while then goes off by 20 + degrees as I drive. I know they are not 100 % accurate, but in my other fords the readouts are within 5 degrees.

wondering what others experience has been and if anyone had found a fix for this. I'm thinking the sending unit is subject to engine heat or something similar.

Also wondering where the sending unit is ?

If by sending unit you mean the temperature sensor, it is behind the front bumper.

Mine seems pretty accurate, you have to keep in mind it's kinda close to the road so it will show a little high. Dave07 is right, it's behind bumper cover down by the bottom, driver side if I remember correctly.
