Orange Peel on 2014 DIB - Not a Defect??

My dealer is telling me that Orange peel (very visible) on my car is considered "industry standard" now and I should put more wax on to make it less visible. They absolutely deny that orange peel is a factory defect. Should I escalate and pursue this or just take it as they say? I have noticed most 2014 mustangs appear to have some level of peel noticable (mostly on the darker colors) if the car is not well waxed.
Advise is greatly appreciated!!!

Orange peel is very common now with the automated process of painting in combination with the newest types of paint. ALL mass produced cars have it to some extent.

You can escalate it, but I see it going nowhere.

Every new car I've owned has had considerable orange peel.

I have to consider myself fortunate. My '14 convertible is black, and if there's OP, I've yet to find it. If it exists, it's down low and not within immediate eyesight. The hood and deck lid, the most visible and common areas for OP are near flawless as possible for a mass produced vehicle. There are a few, very tiny defects, but nothing that causes me to lose sleep.

Orange peel is normal. Back when i got hit on the right rear, my body shop told me they had a 'very hard' time matching the orange peel to the factory paint

Even as hard as they try there are bound to be a few Factory Paint flaws... Mine has a spec of dirt in the paint front center on the bumper. It also has a tiny dent (Out not In) Just in front of one of the Scoops on the Quarter Panel. Just a fact of life unfortunately...

Thanks! You are certainly correct! I have been looking more carefully for it lately and do notice it is on most vehicles to some extent. I think my problem started when they used compound on the car (trying to remove the dust particles unsuccessfully) and the orange peel became extremely noticeable. I never noticed it until they did that. I fear they may have simply scratched and damaged the clearcoat enough to make the orange peel very apparent. Hopefully some smooting and waxing will take care of it
