mt-82 finally going to get fixed!
So i noticed recently that my local dealership was under new owner/management so i decided to drop in and see if anything has changed.
(background info, i have had gear whine in my 2011 gt pretty much since i brought it home and have taken it in @ 1.5k miles and also @ 10k miles and every time they told me it was normal blah blah nothing wrong here. Told me to let it break in, even at 10k miles LOL)
Well i am at 25k miles now and was going to go in prepared this time, so i went in the front to talk to a salesman and asked to test drive a 5.0 they had on the lot. After driving for a while i started to tell my story and how the test drive transmission didn't sound anything like my car which is supposed to be normal.
So after the test drive the salesman wanted to ride in my car and right away before we left the parking lot he's like "this isn't normal". So we get back and i am told to bring it back in the next day.
I do so and this time there is a new service manager and he tells me to leave my keys and they would call. He calls me later that day and says "yeah there is something wrong here we are going to have to disassemble and replace what is broken"
Flash forward a couple of days and the service manager calls me to tell me that they are going to replace all of the bearings in the transmission and the syncros for 1-4, he even offers to pay for my rental while the work is done.
I am so happy that my dealership has turned over a new leaf and are taking care of their customers now. They even started advertising a "lifetime warranty" but of course it doesn't apply to my car since i purchased it before the re-org.
Either way i am ecstatic that hopefully by the end of the week i will finally have a nice clean sounding 5.0 where i can finally hear the sound induction tube and stock exhaust over the transmission.
I wanted to post a success story because i know everyone always just posts when they have some griping to do.
cliffs : local dealership gets a new owner and new mgmt and finally owns up to my mt-82 problems.

Same story as mine.. Mine didn't start till 10k miles so I took it in and they looked at it and said that's normal well about a week went by and it got louder than my exhaust so I took it back and they replaced my whole tranny for free.. I got about 4,000 miles since than and I have no winning anymore

It's great to finally read a positive experience! It seems so rare to see good feedback come from warranty situation stories, especially on the internet. The purpose for posting my story here on this forum, well the beginning of it at least, is to hopefully have a positive outcome to share with the rest of the community from start to finish. Thanks for sharing!

Well it took a little while but i finally got my car back today and it sounds awesome, for the first time i get to drive around and listen to the motor and not have it downed out by the tranny.
They ended up replacing all bearings and syncros and I am happy to report no more whine.
I am so happy they even provided me a rental during the service and cleaned my car (even the the wheels).
The dealership is Southern Ford and I am happy to announce they have really turned over a new leaf with their policies and service.
