Headlamp pitting

I recently noticed on my 2011 GT that the headlamps appear to have a cracked, pitted look to them. It's not the same as the typical cloudiness that happens from UV exposure, but rather as if something on the inside of the lens has reacted, giving it a rather odd appearance. I spoke with my dealer today while it was in for a separate issue, and they took pictures to send to Ford. I will update this tomorrow with pictures of the issue. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this, and whether or not it may be related to a manufacturing issue with the lamps themselves.

I did but it was caused by the tint over-lay that I purchased according to the Ford dealer.

Do you by chance have the lights tinted?

Nope, nothing done to them. This appears to be inside the lens.

Dealer contacted Ford and they are replacing both headlamps under warranty.

Even though you said it's on the inside, I'm sure you treat your lights like you do your paint, right?

Yep. I don't do anything to disturb the factory finish and keep them clean. That's what makes this so odd, being on the inside. I've never had anything done where the housings have been disturbed at all.
