The carpet is the same. It is the insulation they use on the firewall that make it more noticable in the newer cars. On my 06 the firewall is covered in a molded vinyl covered foam. in my 12 is is just a molded jute insulation and that is what makes it more noticable.

 

I think they should make carpet that snaps down like the floor mats so you can take it all out and clean it.

 

Then you should buy a Jeep Wrangler. Pull the carpets, pull the plugs and hose it out.

 

Or I could just buy a mustang that has snap down carpet if Ford would make one. Id never buy anything from chrysler. Id rather put 30k in a dumpster.
