FORD dealership abuse
Same Thing Happened To Me
Took my car to the dealership to get a scratch on the rear fascia painted.
Couple days later the dealer dropped it off at my house while I was on my lunch break.
I inspected the paint which looked fine. I didn't start the car because it was in perfect condition when I dropped it off,,, why wouldn't it be in perfect condition when they brought it back ?
After my lunch break I got in my car and noticed something odd....
My odometer was showing a number that didn't add up correctly. From the dealership-to-my-house is 8 miles. My odometer showed 18 miles had been put on the car since I dropped it off.
Then the fun began... I started the car and the sound coming from under the hood of my immaculate 2006 Roush Stage III was similar to someone taking a jackhammer to the engine block.
I popped the hood and found,,,
1) The supercharger pulley was flopping on the shaft of the nose drive like a fish out of water,
2) The bearings of the supercharger nose drive were smoked and the shaft was loose,
3) The supercharger coupler was destroyed,
4) The wiring harness was melted and it shorted out the electronics to the throttle body,
5) 2 spark plugs were blown out of the cylinder head,
6) They dipstick was blown out of its tube,
7) and the ECU was totally F'd up and doing all kinds of crazy crap.
When I went to the dealership, (the worst and most untrustworthy dealership on earth - HACIENDA FORD in Edinburg, Texas) they told me,
"It was like that when you dropped it off. We didn't do anything."
The F'ing thing was UNDRIVEABLE. How in the hell could I have dropped it off like that ??? These unscrupulous dealerships
are F'ing criminals.
HACIENDA FORD in Edinburg, Texas loves to screw it's customers over. Be warned. If you deal with them, they will hurt you.
I did 100% of the repairs by myself in my garage at a cost of just over $3000. Took me a 6 weeks to fix it. Thank God, now it runs better than ever. They only person I can trust to do quality work on my car is me. And I am not a mechanic.
Sure wish I had a dash cam !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, to sum up:
Video your car in running condition with the service guys around it so you can ensure that the car was indeed in 'condition A' before they took charge of it.
That... makes a lot of sense. Especially since, as I'm in the car business as an IT guy, I see the body shop people do NOTHING but take pictures of the car *before it's touched* to ensure that indeed... that dent you came in for had NOTHING to do with the scratch on the total opposite side of the car that was already there when you showed up with it and didn't ask that it be fixed at your cost.
Yep. This sort of stuff works both ways. Everyone needs cameras to cover their own needs. Nobody can be trusted, on either side, not even me. Got it.

Well, since he decided he'd check out of here (at least, that's how it sounded) I doubt we'll hear it unless you're instagrammed with him, or someone who is posts.

I love the new '15 Challengers, but that as a whole is probably the saltiest, worst group of car owners on the planet, from any camp.
I have had kinda same problem with Al Packer Ford in Middle River Maryland outside Baltimore Maryland, i suggest anyone buying a new car go to dealerrator.com before buying any car tels the good and the bad and the ugly of all dealerships out there, most all car dealers are crooks. i hope this helps anyone who decides to buy a new car !!!!
