Sad.
They will buy the car back and just turn around and sell it to some other unsuspecting folk.

I'd be do dirty to throw the VIN online after I cashed my check.

They deserve to keep that car on their lot as a reminder for their actions.

This Google review cracked me up.

"Took my car in for usual maintenance. I asked if they could burn out my clutch for me and blow up my engine. They said it'd be no problem. While I waited, one of the kind salespersons asked me if I'd like to participate in the company baby sacrifice. They said it was for Cthulu, so I definitely took part. Then we jerked each other off in a circle until they brought my car back with 80 more miles on it. "

Glad they are offering to buy the car back, they thought they could screw another customer and that he would just walk away.

roadside hookers, drive thrus, bikini car wash ( all of which they drove away from at redline without paying) doughnuts, burnouts, curb rash contests, etc.

Oh.....guess i misunderstood what he said
"There was rubber down the sides of my car and 80+ miles on my car from when the camera was shut off by the shop foreman."

Supersnake04: With rubber on the sides, you're apparently on the right track

It will be interesting to hear what Sawgrass Ford considers "Retail Value".

Kelley Blue Book places a 2013 V6 premium with the performance package at $15,862 retail for "Fair" condition. CVH & Sawgrass will need to utilize "Fair" condition due to the vehicle needing mechanical repairs (noisy transmission).

To replace CVH's 2013 with new, this car is probably around $32,000.
Add 6% FLA sales tax = $1920.
Title and registration = $300 -ish.

CVH will spend apprpox $34,200.
CVH may get $15900 out of his abused Mustang.

CVH needs to come up with $18,300 to replace his car.

Sawgrass will buy the old car at $15900, pour some trans-medic in the thing, and sell it on their used car lot for $21,000 to some unsuspecting sucker.

I think CVH is still getting hosed.

Retail value = what he paid new, and he gets to keep the parts. The new owner is still getting hosed, but he should be getting back what he paid for the car.

I bet that's not their understanding of retail value.
