EVAP LEAK MINOR 0442 slow fill fuel

2010 FORD MUSTANG GT. ford put the evap breather lines and wires directly on exhaust pipes, both sides, it took 100,000 miles to burn thru. you wont find the holes unless you have a smoke machine. i replaced the lines and wrapped the pipes. no more check engine 0442 and slow fill ups. i suspect the wires are fuel gauge and fuel pump. i purchased car new from dealer in stonewall, la. no recall that i know of. car pulls strong like a new one. i took photos of lines burned in two.

I had an EVAP leak minor code but cleared after I fixed the line. The fuel tank fills the driver side 1/2 a gallon at a time than pukes out under the car. It does not matter pump all the way in or out some or upside down. 1/2 gallon then pop any speed of flow.

You Might Pull Fill Pipe & See if the Inner vent Hose Has a Crack in It. Seen That a Time or Two On Some! Usually Right At The Clamp. Can Also Be Hidden inside larger Hose.

Can Also Be Other Issues With Fill Pipe.

Here Are Some Shop Manual PDF'S Below Which May Help!

You Are Welcome!

Now I Am Second Guessing Myself Thinking of The Earlier Fill Hoses Which Used Caps. Looking at Parts Pictures Looks Like Like Old Style With Inner & Outer Larger Hoses. Not So Sure Now Looking At Shop Manual. But I Do See a Small Recirculation Line Which Disappears into Larger Elbow Sleeve! Number 5 on Last PDf With Picture of Hoses. A Leak or Plugging At Any Point can Cause Issues I'm Sure.

Sure is a Rats Nest of Hoses!
