Door rattle on brand new 2012 V6 premium

My brand new V6 convertible has a slight rattle/noise coming from the door lock area on the driver's side. The area is not the latch that opens the doors, but the area near the up and down ****. It is slight and intermittent but annoying none the less on a brand new car. This is my first Ford product after driving Honda's for over twenty years. I love the car but really hope to be able to solve this issue. I want the car to be tight. I have read some of the previous threads, some are years old, but wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue. Thanks so much.

Pop the trim plate out of the inside of the door handle cup and stick some soft side velcro on the back, then pop it back into place.

Thanks. I actually think it is coming from the area further back near the up and down pin/****. When I'm driving, it's over my left shoulder area, somewhat behind me.

I am assuming you gave the shaker 500? My friend has a 2010 v6 premium with the shaker and had the same problem from the drivers side. My guess the bass shook something loose. It went away after ahwile.

Mine has a slight rattle from the passenger side when I'm on a gravel road. I discovered its the body colored door handle cover. Not sure if its put on with double sided tape or not but I have to figure how to tighten it as it slightly jiggles.
Could this be your issue?

I have a rattle by where the shifting is at. I think it's the trim around it. Everytime I hit high Rpms it does it. Ive noticed it since i had my flowmaster axlebacks. Now i have a roush catback exhaust & i still hear it?Any clues on how to fix it?

Hi guys,

Please make an appointment with your Ford dealers for diagnosis. Then, PM me with your VIN, dealer, mileage, and contact info so I can escalate this for you as well.

Deysha,
Thanks for your help. The dealer called me and set up an appointment. I think they may have solved the rattle noise. Mine was associated with something in the window mechanism. All I know is that they put some clips somewhere inside the door and it seems to have stopped. I will have to drive it for a whole to be sure. But the service manager was very attentive and treated me like a VIP. I appreciate your help.

Did you get this resolved? I've had the same problem and I know it sounds like it's coming from the top/behind but I think that it's actually coming from the bottom of the door. If you open the driver's door and look at the very bottom - kind of underneath, there's two tiny, black plastic pieces that cover two holes (drainage?), I messed around with them and it went away for a while but just came back a few weeks ago.
