Yes this is the same info from other thread. Engine knocks can come from several issues. Some serious like a connecting rod bearing, main crank bearing, or broken rocker arm ( a those are bad) a simple knock could come from timing being off which can lead to pre ignition even a suspension bushing being worn out.

You just don't know until the investigation starts.

After my engine was diagnosed, thee were two options. Fix everything they found (which I would have never agreed to on an engine that has 11500 miles) but I didn't have to say anything. Tasca just knew to replace it.

I believe it is easier in the long run to replace the short block anyway. Sending out the parts to be machined is a pain.

holy crap! i do have noisy front suspension bushings too! but what does that have to do with engine block parts?

I was just trying to give you examples of where knocking sounds in general can come from.
