clutch engagement

Car info
2011 Mustang Gt
6 speed
3.73
400 miles
Build Date 8/2010

Alright Ive done alot of searching on a few different mustang forums and haven't seen anyone with same clutch issue I seem to be having. My clutch only grips / engages when the clutch is almost fully released, around the last 2 or 3 inches. Is this normal Or does the clutch need to be adjusted?

This is my first new car so I'm kinda anoid that I'm having issues with less than 500 miles on the car. The clutch is not notchy and does not get stuck to the floor so I know its not the same issue others have been having.

any help will be greatly appreciated. I've been driving a 300zx with a exedy twin dics so there night and day but it just does not feel right. I honestly cant remember if it was this way when i picked the car up since I was in aw with the new car factor, but don't think it was since I really started to notice it about two days ago.

Mike, I would go back to your dealer, explain what you think is a problem , and ask them to let you test drive another 5.0 stick for comparison. This would let you compare the two, on the spot. Good luck.

And it's "awe" and "annoyed." Sorry to be a dick. Oddly, I noticed this right away when I test drove the car. The clutch felt very different from my 2005 GT, and it seemed that most of the engagement was in the last few inches of clutch release. But either that got better with time or I adjusted to the new feel. I'm leaning toward the latter. I think it's deliberate, though. It allows for much quicker shifts under wot. I love it now.
