Car is off by 20 mph after 3rd gear

I recently had my car in the shop because I was driving it and it cut completely off on me with on coming traffic. I had to get the car towed cause it had no power to move. The idle was all off and the air fuel ratio was all over the place. They replaced all the injectors and the pcm. Now my speedometer is off by 20 mph and ford said there is nothing they can do about it. My car has just over 2000 miles on it.

Any suggestions. I didnt change the tire size or the gears.

Sounds like they didn't program the correct gear ratio and tire size..... I would see about another dealer plus contact the Ford reps on here....

Its been to 3 dealers 1 dealership in texas that did all the warranty work. Which i had to fight for them to do. And then 2 in maryland. They said i need to get an aftermarket tune to correct the problem which i know isnt true.

Well....sounds like some bs somewhere....if the mph is off, so is the odometer off too.... which can seriously effect the warranty and car value.

Are the tires, wheels, and rear end gears all the stock items?

An after market tune may void the warranty.....

All is has is the boss 302 intake on it which i bought it from the dealership like that with 18 miles on it. Then it has the boss 302 rims on it and the gears and rear end are stock. It is lowered on sportlines and has a roush axelback exhaust.

I thought the Boss intake required a different tune?

Sounds like the PCM doesn't match your gear ratio.

Thats what i said to them and they said there is nothing they can do. just go see if the state police will calibrate the car or get an aftermarket tune on the car.

They want you to after market tune it so they can write you off. They should definitely fix it. You mentioned boss wheels though. Those are 18's, did you go down from a 19?

I know they want to do that. The boss rims I have are 19s.

Hello Joshua Szukalski,

My name is Deysha with Ford Service. Even though you have some aftermarket things on your vehicle, I recommend you make an appointment for diagnosis. Also, PM me with your dealer, full name, VIN, mileage, and best daytime number so I can escalate this for you and make sure it’s not a manufacturer’s defect.

Please keep in mind, if these aftermarket parts are the cause of your concern, that specific repair will not be covered. You will need to contact your vendor for assistance.
