brake clunk noise control arm front suspension

Had aclunking noise when pressing down on the brake especially when backing out of the drive way since it was new..just had it checked out at a nondealer shop (it is 5 months old ) He said it should be a recall or at least a warranty repair. It's definately a safety issue. Anyone else having this?
My dad said his old Taurus had the same problem.

Make sure your lugnuts are nice and tight. Other than that, could be the lower control arms (bushings?); not sure about the V6's...but GT's built before April '11 have a problem.
