Unhappy Airbag light on after rain

Hello all, first time poster here. A couple days ago I left my passenger window completely down during a full day of constant rain. (I know, I know). The following morning upon seeing this I got to work drying out the carpet to prevent mold/smell. Got it fully dry pretty quickly and have some moisture absorption packets that'll remain in the car for another week or so to make sure its dried out. I drove the car after drying with no lights on the dash. Later that day while driving I had the airbag light on the dash illuminate. This light does not flash at all (I've read other threads where it'll blink to narrow down the issue). The light remains on. I disconnected the battery for about an hour and reconnected but the light came right back on. I moved the passenger seat all the way forward and backwards on its rails a few times to dry the carpet so I checked the harness plugs under the seat but they all appear fully seated. Looking for any advice on next steps. My last resort will be bringing it to a ford dealership, but I assume that is going to be $$$ for what I hope is a simple fix. Thank you in advance.

Need To Check Out SJB For Water Intrusion. Although This is in 2005-2009 Section Same Basic Issues. Get Some Contact Cleaner and Check All Plugs! Also Any Wiring Under Seat. Basically Need To Unplug Any & All Connections Which Could Have Got Water In Then & Clean! Just Takes One Little Bad Connection. A Good Scanner Which Can Pick Up Body Codes Not Just DTC Codes Would Also Be Useful. If You Don't Have One a Local Parts House May Have One That Does That.

Update, its been about 2 weeks now. The car is fully dried out I believe, and now the airbag light is intermittent. I live in CT, and recently overnight we have temperatures well below freezing. Upon starting the car in the morning, the airbag light is off and remains off seemingly until the interior fully warms up (20ish minutes). My commute to work is about 30 minutes so the light only comes on at the tail end. Then the light is on immediately if I shutoff and restart the car while warm. This whole pattern repeats every morning. My light is either constant on, or constant off. It does not flash a code like I have seen on other posts for some reason.

- I have unhooked and sprayed all connectors under the passenger seat with electronics cleaner and allowed to dry before reconnecting. They did not show any signs of being wet.
- The carpet and seats are fully dry
- Every time I drive the car, I crank the fan blower to max and keep the AC engaged to draw moisture. HVAC aimed at floor.
- I have some moisture absorption packets in the car, although they haven't absorbed much as I did a pretty through job drying the car in the first place.
- I checked the airbag fuse in the drivers floor fuse box, which looked fine. The fuse box/module also did not have any signs of moisture/water.

At this point I am lead to believe there is some water/moisture is some system that freezes into ice overnight, then does not cause a problem until the interior gets warm enough to thaw the ice into water, which triggers a fault.

Problem is, I am out of areas to look. As far as I can tell, I have addressed everything I can. At this point I am going to wait it out and hope this alleged moisture dries out. It is very annoying though to have the light off for most of my commute only to have it pop up a few minutes away from work. If the situation remains constant for the next couple weeks, I will have to bring the car to ford to get the code scanned so I at least have an idea where to concentrate my efforts. My local ford dealership says $75 to read the code.

Many Local Parts Houses Will Check For Codes For Free! Just Make Sure Their Reader Can Pull Body Codes as Well as Dtc Codes!

If You Get Some Codes Post & I Will Check The FORD CODE List which is More Detailed Than The Generic Response on Reader. Also May Give Some Diag Specs.

I Pulled Some Shop Manual PDF's on SRS. Maybe Helpful!

Not Sure What Year You Have But 2010-2014 Are All very Close So Used Random Years.

Got the car scanned today, code B2909-60 Belt tension sensor fault. Pulled the back seat and interior trim to expose the tensioner and connectors. Unplugged and sprayed out with electrical cleaner, followed by compressed air. Put everything back together, and airbag light comes right back on when car is started. My car is a 2011.

I figured as much, just bought a used passenger seatbelt assembly off eBay for about $75. Hopefully once that arrives I'm all set.
