After replacement of foglamp, interior dash lights won't turn off (Not Map Lights)

Hey all,

Wondering if anyone has seen this behavior... I didn't notice it until tonight so I'm not sure if its only happening when its dark out or if they are on during the day to and just too bright to notice it.

I have a 2013 GT that was just in the shop yesterday for a fog lamp that was no longer coming on. (Odd that it died <1 yr of use, especially being LED) They said the fog lamp was dead and one of the pins on the harness going to it was scorched. Took them about 2 hours to track the issue down but were able to replace the bulb, cut the lug/pin that was scorched and crimp a new one on and the lamp works. They never did find the root cause though.

Now, I noticed that when I get out of my car, the map lights go off when I lock the doors, so do the ambient lighting etc. The only things that doesn't turn off are the little lights in the headlamp control **** to the left of the wheel, the lights in the buttons on the steering wheel (cruise control, sync, etc.), and the 3 lights on the center console buttons (trunk, hazards, traction control).

Any ideas what might be the problem? Think they rewired something wrong so they are always on? (PS the dimming control is not set to always on...or the map lights wouldn't turn off).

Maybe the electrical schematics are available somewhere for Fords? Might be able to track it down myself but don't wanna screw up any warranty digging too far myself.

It sounds like a warranty issue....return it to Ford. Why try to find this issue since it seems related to the foglight that was recently replaced.
