Advance trac need service...

So out of the blue my dash on my 2011 reads ' ADVANCE TRAC NEED SERVICE" my traction control symbol is on "off" and my driver side airbag is symbol is on too. I did a quick search and found that alot of 2010 and 2011 are getting this message and it could be traced back to a electronic module under the airbox that is failing OR if you changed your exhuast you might be melting a wire under the car near the mufflers......hmmmmmm I guess i'll find out monday when ford checks out my car.

A couple of Boss owners are having this issue. I've had it 1 time. I shut the car off, it reset and hasn't happened again

Well service dept was alittle baffled as to why the driver airbag warning light is on with the traction control light. After about 4 hrs they called me and said it's a sensor module that failed and they have to order it. As soon as i find out the exact name of it I'll post it. On another note ( I tryed this and it didn't work for me) A buddy of mine had the same issue after he changed his exhuast, but he found a fix online and it cleared up his codes. here is the fix...STEP ON YOUR BRAKE AND TRACTION BUTTON AT THE SAME TIME FOR 8 SEC. TURN OFF CAR COMPLETELY AND WAIT A FEW SECONDS, MAKE SUFE EVERYTHING IS OFF. TURN ON THE CAR. He said it cleared all his codes and he hasn't had any issues since.

Well here is the part replaced.... "RESTRAINT CONTROL MODUEL (RCM)" Ok here is the kicker........ After all this, It was actually a blown fuse! Mecahnic said i had a 10amp fuse where a 15 was suppose to be. I told him i NEVER changed any fuse so whatever was there came from the factory like that. He was trying to make it seem like I put the wrong fuse in there. FIXED!
