2014 track pack clutch going soft again
2014 track pack clutch going soft again
It all started after some cruising with a corvette to make a long story short if I rev over 6 grand the pedal comes back to it resting position at around 80 percent unless I pull it up using my foot. I went to the dealer and told them that some forum members and other dealers where removing the clutch assit spring and the took it off thinking that may have ended the issue it didn't it still there just not as bad but I'm royally pissed off. Any ideas guys I love my dealership but I don't know what to do
I should also mention that I don't beat on it I do drive it Pretty good but not beating I've dont three clutch dumps that's all no burnouts donuts nothing to say I'm disappointed it putting it lightly

Sounds like a mechanical problem - I also have a 2014 track pack 6MT and have had no such issues... How long have you been driving manual tranny cars? This transmission likes to be handled gently (compared with numerous other MT cars I've had), but that wouldn't necessarily cause the clutch to not fully return
I previously owned a Boss 302 that had the same issue only it was worse because I was shifting at even higher revs. Ford engineers know that the clutch's pressure plate is at fault, I was told. However, with no fix in sight I replaced my Boss with a new Mustang automatic, and couldn't be happier. It was sad that Ford wouldn't fix the Boss.

I would be so mad to me it sounds like a seal on the master cylinder went and is letting air in the line because I have to lift the pedal with my foot it doesn't come back like most others have seen
Clutch line diameter is too small. Documented all over the internet in various forums. Search for the fix. If you want Ford to make it better good luck with that. I removed the assist spring and am very happy. Last on my list is the 2 post bracket and I'm done.
Sounds like failing hydraulic throw out bearing. If the seals fail the pedal will sag and not return. This is a problem that needs to be corrected as the clutch won't fully release and you will damage the transmission synchronizers and finally won't be able to shift at all. I have 3 friends who have had clutch trouble related to the throw out bearing. Mine has been perfect for 23000 miles but I just ordered one to have ready in case.
