Hmmmm I don't have that and it doesn't look factory. Are you the first owner? Does it have an aftermarket alarm system?

Good point. Yes, I am the original owner, but my local Ford dealer installed a special alarm system the cuts fuel delivery when enabled. Maybe that's it. I'll call them tomorrow. Thanks. If anyone else has ideas, please post them, thanks.

Definitely not original to the car.

Did you push it?

If the car didn't explode then you are okay.

Definitely something alarm system related. Kinda cheesy for a dealer installed system

Same as mine. If you press and hold it the alarm should honk and be disabled. If you press and hold it again it will enable it

Thanks, Trent. Called dealer today, that's what it is. Some kind of kill switch in case the key-fob fails, and you open the door manually with the key, you can still disable the alarm to drive.

Can I turn it off while the batter is dead?

I don't know what to expect with this car, but I want to be sure. Because it's been constantly beeping it's horn because of the alarm system.
