I have some good 6.5" 2 ohm woofers from a component set. I want to take out the factory 8" subs/woofers and put in the 6.5" woofers. I have the 8" to 6.5" adapters. I checked and there's plenty of room. I want to use the factory amp. How do I wire them in? I've already changed out the rest of the speakers and added a sub. Thanks to anyone who can help.

 

you have to wire them so that they are 2ohm, it depends on what speakers you get tho, which do you have in mind?

 

I found the answer. Since the OEM woofer is dual voice coil, it has two sets of wires connected to it. I just need to connect one set to the new woofer.

They don't exist. I had to make my own using a rotozip. I love the sound by the way. And it looks stock because you retain the factory grill.
