Anyone ever tried this?

http://customgadz.com/3-mimicsx2

as the website says

"This MimicsX2 universal kit is designed specifically to integrate into vehicles that are already equipped with a built in touchscreen monitor to give you the ultimate car play hybrid experience ever.
Connect your smartphone to your cars dash touchscreen display via a HDMI, MHL or Display port adapter. If you vehicle does not have any of these inputs then you will need a converter to change the video signal appropriate for your vehicle.
The special touchscreen switching adapter allows you to switch between your factory touchscreen operation and smartphone control mode. This kit will work with iPads, iPods, iPhones ad Android smartphone devices."

Before i bought my car without navigation I had seen something like this but didnt even bother to consider it.

I dont think it will work with our cars. Our touchscreens video use LVDS (TIA/EIA-644)
