Along with laserred38's posts, this is an active thread that discusses the options related to OEM integration from something as simple as a sub addition to a full system:

Hey - heylilcobra, after checking out your solution, I've decided to go almost the same exact route. The only issue I have is decoding the wiring to setup the audiocontrols lc6i at the speaker level inputs - do you happen to have a diagram or any advice?

Thanks,

Karl

Update - KevinS was kind enough to mention this site to gain access to wiring diagrams for specific ford models: motorcraftservices.com - so if you need data on your specific vehicle, this is a mere $11.00 for a 72 hour subscription - well worth it as I was able to verify the wires I needed to tap into

I recently installed a JBL MS-8 processor and some other goodies in my shaker 1000 equipped mustang and used this online manual for reference http://iihs.net/fsm/?dir=499.

Linelock -- Are you happy with the JBL MS-8 processor? I'm curious how much improvement it (alone) would make in the sound-quality of Shaker 500. You mentioned "other goodies"...so I assume you changed speakers, etc?

Didn't mean to be exclusionary -- Linelock, or anyone else for that matter, what's your experience been with JBL-8 processor vs Shaker 500 stock head-unit?
