Thumbs down So pissed! Interior gashes on passenger side door panel.

The car is 2 days old and already has it's first battle scars. My retarded friend placed a desktop CPU on the passenger side floor and wrapped all of it in a towel, except the SHARP METAL side facing the door panel. Hit a bump in the road and it banged on the door panel and cut 5 4" gashes into the window switch panel and down onto the piece right below that. I can't say how pissed I am, these wont come out... I need to replace the panel. A CF overlay kit will only cover the top, as it is the side and below this that is affected, it would do no good. Do you think an interior trim panel is expensive? Should I replace it or just leave it be, it was only a matter of time? It's really horrible to look at, I'll take pics tomorrow. Im so sad/upset.

A good interior trim guy may be able to fix it. They usually heat up the plastic, smooth it over, and use a pattern to match the grain of the existing panel.

Or it may be cheaper just to buy a new one. Try eBay?

Junk yards. Several cars have been wrecked, and even a roll over will likely have this piece salvageable. Even if it is the wrong color it is nothing a can of interior paint cant fix

That seriously sucks tho! sorry man!

Show your friend, have him buy you a new interior panel and install it yourself. If he's a good friend, he'll pay up for his faults.

That really sucks. I'm lucky because everyone who rides in my car knows how **** I am about it, so they don't touch anything, or bring anything into it.

Check your local junkyards. Tell your friend about it and hopefully he'll pick up the expense for it since it was his laptop doing the damage.

I would totally pay for it if it were my fault. No questions asked.

Lmao this is funny! My friends are the same way with me. I actually kicked one of my friends out of my car for opening a bottle of soad. I warned him after he opened it the first time not to do it again. He got cocky tho, and tried to open it a second time slowly but I heard him.

I waited for him to take a sip and it was all over. Out he went lmao, everybody was VERRRRRY quiet after that.

Visit your local PDR shop, or dealership bodyshop as they all have these services available to them and they can direct you in the right direction. In Kansas City we have Dr. Vinyl and few others who do interior work and dash repairs quite reasonable than you might expect.
