simple Ipad Mini mount

since I'm cheap and wanted something removable, i decided to hack up one of my daughters old Ipad Mini cases and see if i could prototype a mount. first cut away the fold over part of the cover. leave about a 1.5" tab. then pry away the top part of the center radio bezel. slide in the "tab". push the tab in between the bezel and the dash and it's done. easy to remove and sturdy.

now i will search for a new case on Ebay and try to perfect my prototype!

Good idea, and it's removable without any indication that it was there (Velcro strips).

Its a real good idea. If I wasn't all about keeping my car All oem parts (Not even velcro) I would do that!

Hey, I really loved this idea and I want to try it on my 12' V6. Did you have to remove the whole dash to put the tab inside the radio bezel? Or did you use some tool to just lift the top part and slide the tab inside? Thanks!

Here's what I did before I swapped out to OEM nav. Basically I took a ipad mini cover and cut it. Then super glued it to the back of the radio panel. Ipad mini never fell off.

I still have it if anyone wants to make me an offer. Also have the belkin bluetooth adapter so you don't need to hook up any wires to it...except for charging.
