Question Seats???????

Can anyone tell me if 05 thru 09 seats will fit 2012 without modifying tracks or brackets in floor? Stole 2012 base ragtop, and have upgraded everything but seats thru the helpful info on this forum, but cannot find the info on seats. The base seats have absolutely no lumbar support, with no adjustment, and the later model seats are impossible to find. Thanks in Advance.

You should be able to unbolt the '05-'09 fronts and bolt them right in any S197, no mods needed, unless it's to get airbags or such working. Front and back. Backs won't look quite right though...

That is all, however, I can guarantee. The seats will bolt up, they didn't change anything in that respect. Electrical connections, airbags, etc... you are probably on your own, but it's *likely* they didn't change either.

If you don't mind leaving the airbags not working, so as to ensure they don't accidentally go off or such, that is YOUR call. Only way to find out is to... well, try. Or inspect heavily before doing such a thing.

Thanks; that's all I needed to know. Dont want to booger up the floor on this new of a car, but I can take care of the airbags, electricals and such. Thanks again.

What 05-09 seats are you gonna put? Because the newer seats are IMO much more comfortable and supportive

I agree wholeheartedly; but the newer seats are impossible to find unmolested in the boneyards, and the earlier model seats are fairly plentiful. The seats in my 03 are power, with adjustable up and down, lumbar and so forth; and are basically what I'm looking for. Son in law owns and operates uphostery shop;so color and fabric not an issue. Only looking for front buckets, so appearance will not be an issue.

I miss my seats from my 02. The power adjustments for back and side support were great and added to the comfort of some soft seats. As for the boneyards i hvnt really looked around em lately (although i should, plenty cheap parts) but im sure some irresponsible driver will help you out soon enough. I wish i didnt say that but its sadly becoming a truer statement every day
