Scoshe Dash Kit
I actually hate the cheap lcd display metra used in their kit, so if we can keep the factory display with the Scosche kit, that would be a step up. i do agree the double din should be up top, though.
When I called they told me that was not possible due to the location of the HVAC ducting and bracing behind the DASH. on Ford factory Nav they use a flat panel type display that fits and the larger electronics is in the location area where Scosche and Metra have the D-Din opening.
called Scosche Friday and (surprise) it's delayed yet again. guy wouldn't say why or when it would be out but said there would be another announcement in the next few days as far as when they expect to ship.not that a new annoucement means anything because the last press release said end of November.
I'm getting sick of waiting for Scosche. My sense is that they saw that Metra has just released a new version of their install kit with a color touchscreen plus triggers for 3 additional devices (pretty cool). Scosche is probably rethinking what they are going to release, I guess.
Don't know how much it is, but I'm sure it won't be cheap. not much info out there, but you can see it here:

Metra unleashes the Touch Screen kit for Mustang at SEMA 2011
Holly Hill, Fla. – Metra Electronics, known for 65 years as a leader in innovative automobile accessories, Metra is proud to announce they are now shipping the new 99-5826CH for installation of all aftermarket radios into the 2010-up Ford Mustangs. Look for us at SEMA booth 11627.
This newest addition to the arsenal of technology provided by Metra, shows that we can continue to provide dealers and installation partners the edge it takes for them to stay at the top of their game. The beautiful touchscreen shows a graphic user interface that replicates what is seen in today's popular automotive screens as well as allowing the consumer a wide array of background designs to choose from. The ability to show SYNC information on the screen is included and the additional outputs are just amazing. With these supplemental outputs, LED’s or motorized amp racks can be controlled by the customer right from the front seat!!! These are just a few examples of what the 99-5826CH is capable of, but the possibilities are endless.
The kit is painted a scratch-resistant charcoal to match the OEM finish, features Metra’s DIN and DDIN ISO side-rail bracket systems, known for their strength and seamless, flush finish. As with all dash kits from Metra, it comes with all the necessary hardware and easy-to-follow instructions that makes installation a snap. Metra Electronics also offers a variety of data bus interfaces in the AXXESS brand to complete the installation. The 99-5826CH software is also USB updatable. Metra has been shipping kits with integrated electronics for climate controls and displays since 2003 and continue to add to this exclusive line of more than twenty parts.

That looks kind of cheap from the pics they are showing. There is too much blank space around the screen. And that line around it looks funny to me. I would love to see it installed with pics to get a better idea. Hopefully it looks better in real life than those photos.

Not a huge fan of either kit and I imagine that things are shifted due to space issues. I went with the Metra kit because 1) It was available and 2) I'm not skilled enough to craft my own, yet.
