I haven't changed seating position at all, but I'm only 5'11". Now the boys, on the other hand, don't have nearly the leg space of the minivan, say, but they don't complain. In fact, they always, 100% of the time ask to ride in the Mustang! I did put protective covers on the seat backs, but for some reason they don't put their feet up there much anyway.

Has anybody tried this with cloth seats? I need to remove a headrest from my Boss but the seat does not have a seam where the leather meets the fabric in the pictures shown on this thread. Help please!

From what I've seen, people can replace their cloth interior with take-off OEM leather seat covers, so it should work the same.
If the Boss has the same split folding rear seat, then I would expect it to work pretty much the same way. The back of the leather seats is cloth, anyway.

On the '14, here is the release for the rear headrests. They are up inside the fabric and foam on the back of the seat. The driver's headrests have a similar button but it is on the outside. One side adjusts the headrests and you have to push the other side, too to release the headrest.
Here is the rear release.

I'm pretty sure this thread will be helpful for years to come. Anyone with car seats will benefit from removing the rear headrests on their Mustang to regain visibility since the headrests can't tip forward with most car seats in place.
I want to thank Skotty for the original post, pics and diagrams over 4 years ago. Also thanks to Bubbaj for the key clarification that there are two buttons per headrest, one per post, all of them on the driver side of the post. And finally thanks to Automatic 5.0 for that missing link that was the photo of the button itself. Without all this info and all the other contributions I might have wasted a lot more time and probably damaged my leather back seats in the attempt.
