Rearview mirror

Has anyone swapped their rearview mirror with one from a F150 with the back up camera screen?

It's a little bit of a project but manageable if you have some basic solder/wiring skills. I did this about 5 years ago and it worked fine, then I just went to a nav system with the backup camera.
I got all the info I needed, including wiring diagrams from the F150 forum, but don't know if there are any threads on it here.
you have to get a new plug for behind the mirror and run some additional wires to the mirror plug.
Do your research and if you still want to do it, PM me. I made an adapter plug for behind the mirror, which I think I still have. That will save you some work.

Our Mustangs had the option of a rear cam in the mirror already so not sure why you'd need one from a F-150?

the f150 rearview mirror with the screen in it is the same as the mustang rearview mirror with the screen in it. what I am saying is that folks on the F150 forum were doing that mod way before mustang owners were and there were full write ups about it on their forum.

Did your Nav come with the back up camera option? Mine did not, but was hoping there was a way to add it that feature.

My aftermarket nav did come with the backup camera option. not sure if you can add it to your nav, depends on your system.
