Gents,

My first post in this excellent forum. Have been reading it for a long time already.

Just managed to find exactly car I wanted, options like I would have ordered it from Ford.
Car will be shipped to Europe within a week or two, need to solve a problem before that:
Car is with premium package, 2013 model made 04/2012.
It has navi, touch screen I think.

- Radio is not supporting eurotuning, (even frequencies with tuner) would need to convert/update it before it is shipped to me. Can it be done with simple update in Ford dealer? If not, what hardware I would need?

- Navi maps are another issue. Is there a way to get European maps in it?

- Car has only one key, hopefully it is Mykey admin key. If I have another key made in Ford dealer, if can be used as mykey too? Might need that feature later..
Can they make working key without car, with vin only?


Tried to contact ford with no success.

i'm confident a european ford dealer can help you out, as the S197s were especially imported into Europe and modified by either the dealer or an importer agency to euro specs. I know eruo maps are separate and easily solved. the radio option though may either require a new tuner. or head unit.
