Question: Those that have 13/14 side defrost mirrors

On the 2013/14 Mustangs with the side mirrors that have defrost:

Does the defrost symbol on the mirrors illuminate when defrost is activated?

No they don't light up. I have a base GT and its not supposed to have that style mirror anyway but somehow ended up with them. They pony light underneath lights up but the little defrost symbol doesn't. Hope this helps.

Cheers

Having to route the wires through the doors into the car was absolutely awful. I don't want to do that again.

Lucky....maybe! It took almost two weeks of phone calls to Ford and dealership back and forth jargon to make sure they're covered by warranty since it seems some have problems and my vin says I don't have them. They GM said just consider myself lucky and if they shoot craps not to be cheap and buy new ones myself!!!! That went over well with me.

Just tap onto the wires you used to supply the heater... Through a 120ohm resistor in series with the LED... no problem!

Tempting, but I would still need to attach it in a way that would survive being exposed to the elements.
