A Few weeks ago I installed new custom leather seats and posted a few pics of them here. I never liked that the door panels didnt match up well . Even had them custom pinstriped and still didnt like the look. So finally broke down and had new panels made with the matching vinyl and piping.

 

Matches the seats well. Looks like very good quality work from the pics.

What was involved with removing the old and installing the new inserts?

I bought old door skins with saddle inserts a while ago, but I guess I'm kind of a perfectionist - I'm concerned about messing this up on removal and installation.

 

Wow that really looks nice! Been thinking of swapping out my cloth seats but has matching gray door panel inserts too. How hard is it to remove the old inserts as DRB mentioned? I had my door panels off for Focal speaker install but didn't bother to look at the time.

 

Thanks for the compliments the factory inserts are just glued on to the door panel. The shop was able to peel them off use it as a pattern and re glue the new ones on .
