NAV Compass sending me the wrong way

My Nav System compass reads between 90-180 degrees out. I looked in the manual and it only gave instructions for calibrating the non-nav system. It did say you could drive around a bit until it works correctly and I've tried that but it's still not working. Anyone know how to calibrate this thing?

You don't calibrate it - the Nav compass takes its direction from GPS. Is your GPS working? If you are backing up, the compass will be 180° out.

As far as I know it is working. I'm outside the USA therefore I have no maps, but it was reading correctly up until a few months ago. Is there anyway to check the GPS without being in the USA?
