Exclamation Maestro MUS1/RR Kenwood setup

Does anyone have one of the following Kenwood head units, DNX891HD, DNX771HD, DNX691HD OR DNX7710BT, DNX571HD?

I am going to install the dashkit with the interface modul into my 2013 base V6. The Kenwood is a German version and to make it work, I would need a serial no. of one of the above listet US Kenwood head units. The hardware and the sofware are identical, they use the exact same firmware. But to flash the maestro module a US Kenwood s/n is needed!

Could anybody please send me his serial no. of one of those Kenwood head units, to make it run!?

Do I really need a s/n or just the model no. to get the maestro rr flashed and working? There are some similar models in Germany and the US with the same features and the same firmware / software, climate control!

Finally got all the pieces together but now I can not install the usb driver for the maestro rr. The weblink install worked fine but the driver did not install at all.

Any idea where I can download the driver to install it manually?

Update!

The support from idatalink is not willing to help. Cause I am in Europe using a non US windows version, I can not install the drivers to flash it. Therefor it is absolutely useless, a waste of money!!

Hi,

This is not the only issue. Just having a US serial number will be of no use to you. Maestro RR will not physically interface with a non-north American head unit. You don't have the correct serial port on the radio. Our folks are not trying to be rude, we just don't want you to keep trying something that is not going to work.

Actually my serial number did work to flash the RR, but now I have a different problem. How can I connect the a/c control wire from the Mustang to the box, the plug doesn't fit to any of the connectors and the buttons on the MUS1 don't work. The RR is flashing red! What can I do?

I guess the whole thing is useless, either I return to my metra kit which works or I try to take it apart install some hardware form the metra. Just because I prefer the layout from the maestro....

What year Mustang do you have, and what kit did you buy ? I would not think that the havoc system would change from the german to america version. I have the 890HD with the RR kit and zero issues. My car is a 11 Shelby

I have a 2013 V6 base model. It is the maestro MUS1 dash kit with the maestro RR box and additionally I got the SX adapter because my Kenwood has the round datalink port.
First problem is that the box is flashing red cause there is not communication between the radio and the box. That's what they told me.
Second and I think more important, the wire/plug that connects the a/c control of the original panel doesn't fit the maestro harness. So I can not control the fan/heat/a/c! The buttons don't work at all.

Does anyone know the function of the wire that goes into the original dash panel with the a/c controls? Mine doesn't fit into the maestro mus1 harness, do i need it? It is the small 4pin flat plug the maestro harness has only an 8pin socket.
