iPod Nano and Sync?

Just wondering if the square iPod Nano works with sync?
I think they are 6th generation and Apple announced newer models today. The price isn't bad. I need a new iPod and if the nano works with sync, I'll get one.

Thanks!

In order for the new iPod nano to work with sync it would need to require blue tooth, which I don't think they will have.

Now the reg gen iPod that has blue tooth.
But the small square ones does not.

I was planning on connecting using the USB cable, not Bluetooth...

I have an older nano and it works fine with usb. I don't see why the newer one wouldn't.

Ok thanks!
I figured that it would work, but the OS is slightly different than iPod classic and touch. I just wanted to make sure. If the 6th generation works, I'm sure the updated OS is fine too.
Apparently you can download the new OS for the nano and update the current 6th gen to the new OS as well.
I'm going to buy one today!

Oh I figured u were referring to blue tooth, then in that case if you are using USB then yup it works perfectly on mine.

I can't imagine not having a nano (the square one) makes them so compact, it's amazing!

I have a rectangular one too, but it's dying.

Hi, whokilledkaji!

I just wanted to confirm, your 6th generation iPod Nano is compatible with the SYNC system. All compatible iPods, other than the iPod touch must be connection via USB.

For future SYNC or navigation-related questions feel free to PM me.

My gen 5 Nano works perfectly with my Nav., voice commands and all. And, it hides fairly well at the bottom of the center console charging away all the while. I did need to learn to call the bands by the exact name they are in iTunes as though, a bit of a learning curve!
