Hey. Installed the rogue mount I just received today. Best price compared to all the others and comes with a seamless cord to draw power from the autodim rear view mirror.
Was able to set it up with my 9600ix - works well and super stealthy. Better than a suction cups on your windshield and no cables blocking your view!

Rouge mount is a good alternative to the Blendmount for mounting Escort/Beltronics RADAR Detectors. I have one of both and posted a review on radardetectorforum.org.

What size rogue mount fits the mustang (3/4" or 7/8")? I assume the 3/4" version??

I just mount mine on the dash board. Can't be seen from behind. I just wish I had a small straight cord for it. I don't have to unplug it from the power socket in the dash anymore since I figured out a way of making the power socket switched.

You might want to check that in your car specifically with some calipers. The auto dimming mirror in my '12 GT premium is definitely 7/8". I think the base may be 3/4.

I'm searching for a write-up to tap accessory switched power, probably from the A piller or overhead maplights for mine. I'm in a search now and this thread came up. Denlem has it exactly as I'm seeking.
Which wires to tap into for positive / negative? I really want it switched on in the accessory key position so I don't have to manually turn the detector off.

Remove the foot panel to access the fuse box. The fuse box is also covered and taped and velcroed. I just removed the tape. There is also a plastic cover on the box. That needs to be removed and you probably won't be able to put that one back on since the fuse tap won't allow it.
From there I looked up which fuse to use in the manual. Unfortunately it doesn't say which are only one with the ignition. I did find one that was ignition only and that is what used. The position can be seen in the pic below.
Attach the detector wire to the fuse tap, pull the fuse out the fuse box (good luck with that) and plug it into the fuse tap. Then put another fuse into the tap. You need two. Your original, and one for the circuit you're adding. Be sure to pick up some spares when you buy your tap.
The ground was simple, I just used the bolt at the bottom of the fuse box. My terminal wouldn't fit over the post, so I just did a partial connection and all is good.
So now there are no wires hanging down, and the radar detector only comes on when the ignition

That's awesome, thanks Denlem. And I like that the way you did it there no cut or tapped wires to conflict with warranties and such. And can be easily removed whenever.
I like it! I guess I should make up a cord for my V1 ahead of time using a telephone plug like I did before (that one's tapped so staying with the old car), or maybe I'll go ahead and order a wiring kit from Valentine.
Now if only the car would get here . . . hurry UP!

Mine is quite stealthy, you can't see it without sticking your head in the car, and it is VERY difficult to see when standing in front of the car.
I also hardwired mine the same way that Denlem did.
