Installed new front speakers
Upgraded the front speakers in my Shaker 500. I went with Pioneer TS-D6802R 6x8/5x7. They fit perfectly and sound great. Sorry no pics

Looks like a nice unit. That's the series made out of that volcanic rock or something... I read/see good stuff about it. How is the overall sound effected? better treble? more crisp?
Also if anyone wants to remove the door panel along with Adam's link above you can try this youtube link which shows the removal: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9y5XvYQcBI

They fit perfectly. I assume their database just needs to be updated. Also note how the speaker itself says "CUSTOM-FIT FOR FORD MAZDA".

Speakers don't have watts. But these speakers come from a good line of products. For someone who isn't looking to break the bank upgrading their audio, I'd bet they would be okay as factory replacements.
Those particular speakers are rated 60 watts RMS from 30Hz to 32KHz. For some reason they have an outrageous peak rating of 260 watts but that is a mostly meaningless number.
I know what he was asking. I just didn't feel like typing out your (correct) response. Either way, power ratings for speakers are mostly suggested by the mfg as a guideline. It's too complicated to explain as I type away on my phone, so I went the short route.
How does the overall audio sound with the backs still being factory? I was thinking about replacing the speakers all around, but if the fronts clean up the muddy sound I may just go with front replacement for now.
You hardly hear the rear speakers. They aren't right in your face like the fronts. Definitely do the fronts first, I think you will decide to skip the rears entirely.
I went with the Pioneer TSA 6872 and they sound 100 percent better than the factory speakers and I can see why. The factory speakers are tiny compared to any replacement speaker that you would find on the market. Now I just have to find a good deal on a Escort 9500ix, get the blendmount and invisicord.
