Illuminated Door Sill Plates

Just purchased a set of illuminated door sill plates from blueovalindustries.com and had a question. They are selling the wiring kit for an extra $30, but it's basically just wire and splicing clips. I'm sure I can get this cheaper if I just do it myself. I found the clips for $1.20. What kind of wire would I need to complete this? I know I need a negative side and a positive side, but being electrically "challenged" (for the pc crowd in our midst), I just don't know what kind/guage wire I need. Any one have any thoughts on this?

I hooked some up to my stang and That kit is a rip off just get 22-18 gauge wire and get some ez-splices for the gauge and wire it up to the passenger side a-pillar. re assemble the panels and your done! how ever you wont be able to switch the colors you will have to just hook up the wire that you want for the corresponding color or splice them together to get like ice blue is Green and blue together.

Looks good! Did you install the leather interior yourself? If so, how do you remove the rear headrests and remove the cloth, how much different from the fronts?

thanks!

heres my car with the leather!

I did the install myself yes, it wasnt so hard... just take your seats out, unclip the plastic clips all around, remove the plastic pieces etc...

you need hog rings and the hog ring pliers to put them on.

the backseat headrest stay on, you just pull the cloth around the buttons and when you put the leather on push it under the buttons carefully.
