I didn't use the SYNC surround piece because I just didn't like the fit. It was a personal preference, and I didn't think it detracted that much from the overall look.

As for the cup holder lid, that is where the "dash" plaque for the 2011 California Special is installed.

Is this "silver aluminum" or "brushed aluminum"? My guess from the color choices in the carid catalog is "silver aluminum". Looks very classy; me wants

Looks good, just the right amount of bling.

I actually like it better without the cupholder cover. Helps tie everything together!

OP, I'm likin' the look of your kit!

Not to hijack the thread, but I thought you might like this in my '85 Ranger:

That is beautiful. There is nothing like handcrafted wood to compliment the interior. Is that the center console In the middle photo? Thanks for posting.

Roof console, barely visible at top of third photo. I did the original dash out of maple when the truck had 125 miles on it.

Is this the 'Real Brushed Aluminum' finish? Or the Silver Aluminum Finish?

Does it actually feel like metal? Or is it all plasticky?

Also how does the material match up color wise to the factory aluminum paneling on the dashboard? looks pretty darn close to me in the pics.

+1 on the wood grain look!! Makes the Stang look totally retro. The aluminum takes it in a much more sporty direction, but I am a sucker for wood on the interior. As long as it is well done. That looks very well done on your CS.

It's the real brushed aluminium and it's metal. The match is very close to factory. Not 100% but good enough that my very picky wife loves it.

Card ID has two manufacturers now... B&I and Remin. Can you tell me which kit you used?

That actually looks really good and I usually think the sticking dash kit cheeses it up but that looks clear. And not to overdone.
